Ivo Hartmann

Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of EU Perspectives. In 2013, he founded the Law Journal, Healthcare Journal and Economic Journal, which provide key daily news, analysis and commentary on developments in the Czech Republic. Previously, he served as 1st Deputy Minister and Director General at the Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Health. From 2008 to 2009, he was appointed Commissioner of the Ministry of Health for the preparation and execution of the Czech Republic’s first Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Prior to 2002, he worked as an assistant to the first President of the Czech Parliament, and subsequently as Chief Advisor to the Chairman of the parliamentary faction and the Chairman of the political party in the Chamber of Deputies. He holds degrees in political science and economics.
